Hello, Yoyos:

It's very nice to meet all you guys in Yoyo.

My name is Chingling, you can just call me Lynn if that's easier for you to remember.

I was called Bessie before which was given by a nurse when I was born.

It was an old fashion name in U.S. I was told by an american,

people who called Bessie in U.S are more than 70.

Also I found out in U.S,Bessie is always a cow's name.

Once my freinds went to a farm in U.S,

after they came back from the trip, they were so excited to tell me

that they saw a cow with a name tag "Bessie".

Try to pay more attention on any movie or comedy from U. S,

you will see it.

So, I changed my name back into Chingling or Lynn.

hello:
Thank you guys. it's very nice to meet you, too.
i did my pottery in Jo-Fen. It's quite a lot of fun. wish i can post the picture to show my work...... but i wonder if that gonna make you doubt my professional skill.
By the way, there was something I learn. I did not know pottery shrink so much. When i made it, i thought it can fit two packs of instant noodle, now it can just fit one....

Many years ago, I took my sloppy writing to a "Writing Center" for some kinda proof reading service. The proof reader was very kind and patient a pleasant surprise to say the least. After more than a few visits, did my writing improve dramatically in a short amount of time? No.

Why not? The language portion part of the human brain is notoriously stubborn. To this day, I am still very unconfident with my grammar. Frankly, I often can't really tell if a mistake is being made or not. When ever Yoyo member speaks, both my ears and brain are bombarded with "creative" word choices and usages. On one hand, I have to try to understand what the speaker is trying to say, and constantly, I am asking myself if that is actually the correct way to say it, or is there a better way. Week after week, I am just more confused than ever.

Imperfect English can be contagious. Yoyo English Club provides a good "soap box" for those whom wish to practice speaking, but it isn't the ideal content source for flawless English. Everybody should know that by now. Don't kid yourself. Yoyo is good for what it is, but one must realize it's limitation.
I am not abandoning Yoyo, I am just dancing slowly away from it.
