文章 Catherine »

:) Dear friends, the Covid is getting serious here in Taiwan lately, while most of the foreign countries have loosen up the restrictions for traveling. Even our CDC had announced the shortened period required for the quarantine._The frontier is reopening!!! Are you considering traveling abroad? Where are you likely to go? How do you make the experience as enjoyable as possible?
Session one:
1. What is your number one travel destination? Why? And what are some other countries you’d like to visit too?
2. Will you go abroad this year? Why or why not?
3. What are the things we need to prepare in order to travel safely and have fun?
4. How do you travel light? What are the essentials that you can’t do without?
5. How do you organise your trip? Do you know any useful apps or websites?
6. How do you prevent being pickpocketed? Beside that, what are the things we need to stay alert during a journey?

Lately, I’ve dedicated a lot of time to learning a new language, and I have some new discoveries.I found that auditory learning is very efficient. If you are an auditory learner, you learn by hearing and listening. You understand and remember things you have heard. You store information by the way it sounds, and you have an easier time understanding spoken instructions than written ones

2. What is the most successful learning experience you ever have had so far?
3. Are you an auditory learner or a visual learner? What are the differences?
4. Let’s talk about the influences between the old things and the new things that you are learning? For example, being able to speak Chinese is a pro or a con for learning Japanese? Why?

The year right before the Covid outbreak I took a 10-day vacation travelling to Japan with my family. It was the first time I planned by myself an independent foreign trip for fun, not for business and so it took me enormous amount of time mapping up a detailed itinerary and making all the bookings in advance. During the trip, I needed to constantly check details of next action, watch the time, and pinpoint our locations with map, pulling out all my stops to ensure a hassle-free trip. Thankfully, except few hiccups, the journey panned out well as expected.

You can probably imagine that while travelling, my family members enjoyed the moment more and had more fun than I. To me, the experiences were exhausting yet rewarding. Arguably travelling this way is also right up my alley and thus I am more likely to do the same next time!

I have totally different traveling stories from Kooper's. In my travels, I'm always a luggage carrier, driver, waiter (not that waiter). It also benefits me. You know, those things make you suffer but cannot kill you only make you stronger in the end.
In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.
