After reading them, I try to elaborate more on what I think about the definition of winners, or success, although I already expressed it on Tur.
Generally speaking, there are two types of definitions:
Type I(nside): you set up a life goal based on your own passion, value, and strength and you devote yourself to achieving it. The achievement usually makes you happy, because it’s from your own passion, ability, and hard work.
Type O(utside): you set up a life goal based on what most people think, which are usually wealth, power, and fame. You devote yourself to achieving it. The achievement usually makes others admire you, because you possess what most people want.
If you do not belong to either I or O, you are definitely a failure.
If you only belong to O, most people think you are very successful. However, you frequently say others do not know the real pain inside your heart.
If you only belong to I, some people may think you are weird, but you are usually happy.
If you can achieve both I and O, you are really happy and successful because you meet both your own and others’ expectations. However, it's very difficult to reach both of them, because it needs a lot of hard working and good luck.
Therefore, my suggestion is: also taking type B into account, you set up a life goal mainly based on your own passion, value, and strength. Then you work hard and achieve this kind of Type I (revised), which is not too far from others’ expectation. I think you are happy and already win at the first stage. After that, if you still have extra time or ability, you can try to achieve the real type B. Then you will be a big winner. 吳寶春 is a good example for this process.
