Session 1: How do you deal with lie?

Hi everyone. Let’s chat with some paradox topic “Lie”.
We may come from different lifestyles or backgrounds. One thing for sure, we shall have one thing in common. We either lied or were being lied once in a while.
A lie is a statement used intentionally for the purpose of deception. The practice of communicating lies is called lying, and a person who communicates a lie may be termed a liar. Lies may be employed to serve a variety of instrumental, interpersonal, or psychological functions for the individuals who use them. The most common forms, such as: White lie, Bluffing, Bullshit, Cover-up, Deception, Exaggeration, Fabrication, Fraud, Negotiation, Honest lie, Noble lie…. There are too many forms about it. Some might out of positive intention, some out of negative, some maybe irrelevant!
Here come the questions, let’s dig a bit deeper.

Session 1 questions
1. According this 1st chip, why did more children lie when they got older?
Why do these two abilities “1. Theory of mind 2. Self-control” make us function well in our society?
The deficit of two characters are associated with serious development problem, might end up like ADHD, Autism. If you found your young baby lying, you shall be happy about it. Do you agree with that?
2. As a parent, when is proper time to tell children there is no such thing as fairy tale, Santa Claus?
Do you accept your children lie to you? Age of children would make any differences? How do you deal with it? (Any type of lies)
3. As a lover/Couple, do you tell your partner everything, any feeling including appearance, flaws, behavior, temper…, why yes or why not?
Do you accept your partner lie to you? Which types of lie are acceptable, which types are not? Before or after marriage would make any differences?

Session 2: How do you tell a lie?

Session 2 Questions
1. What kind of techniques have you learned from this chip to detect the behavior of liar? Do you think these techniques can be trusted or useful? Or you got better ideas. Warning: Teach your family carefully in case they become more sophisticated liar.
2. Some may says that ignorance is a bliss, what do you think?
3. Back to chip 1 again, if that new technology released, like facial recognition, which can 100% detect if you are lying or not from a simple device or app. Do you think that is a good thing? Can you take it? What is the pros and cons?
Sometimes technology is irreversible.
4. Is it appropriate to lie to yourself? How far can you or shall you go?
