Hello! I'm Andy. It's my pleasure to be the host on 7/16.

For Session I, we will know the difference among givers, takers, and matchers. Is it more blessed to give than to receive?

For Session II, we will learn to how to share our feelings more carefully. Emotions are contagious, and you can impact the emotions of others by sharing how you feel. A “full disclosure” approach to sharing your emotions may not always lead to the best outcomes.

Session I:
The Surprising Psychology of Givers, Takers, and Matchers
https://www.lemonade.com/blog/psycholog ... atchers-2/

Are you a giver or a taker? | Adam Grant

1. Do you consider yourself to be a giver, a taker, or a matcher? Why?
2. Which people succeed in life more? Do you agree with the research result of the success scale below?
3. Who is happier in a relationship, a giver or a taker?
4. Why do some people take you for granted just because you were nice to them?
5. How to be a successful giver? Do you think the 5 tips mentioned in the article are useful? (5-minute favors, Ask for help, Give all at once, Specialize in favors, Keep an eye out for takers)

Givers are others-focused, and tend to provide support to others with no strings attached. They ask themselves, “How can I add value for this person? What can I contribute?”

Takers are self-focused and put their own interests ahead of others’ needs. They try to gain as much as possible from their interactions while contributing as little as they can in return.

Matchers like to preserve an equal balance of giving and taking. Their mindset is: “If you take from me, I’ll take from you. If you give to me, I’ll give to you.”

Session II:
Is Sharing Your Feelings Always Healthy?
https://elemental.medium.com/is-sharing ... be3579c4ae

1. Are you a person who is prone to share your feeling with others or keep it to yourself? Do you think it is good to share your feelings and why?
2. Why people feel more comfortable to share feelings online or with strangers than somebody close to them?
3. What feelings do you share with friends that you wouldn't share with your spouse or partner and why? Whom do you share your feelings with the most?
4. Why teenagers don’t share their feelings with their parents?
5. Under what situation, you will ignore or hide your feelings and emotions?
