11/16 (Sat) Intermittent Fasting/Discipline (Host:Antonio)

Hi, Everyone,
This is Antonio. I joined this club 10 years ago. However, today is my first time to be the host. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to learn how to be a host. Here, I want to share with you something about “intermittent fasting”. I ever had a seven-day fasting experience in the second year in college (only drunk milk in the morning). This made me know the power of the body and I still miss this experience now. Two years ago I read a book “THE FAST DIET: Lose Weight, Stay Healthy,
and Live Longer with the Simple Secret of Intermittent Fasting” by Dr. Michael Mosley and Mimi Spencer. This book sparked off an idea that I might try this new diet habit and see what would happen in my body. First, I lost 5 kilograms in about two months. Besides, I became more disciplined because I needed to skip dinner (or just drink milk) on Friday and Sunday. Finally, this may make me live longer (hormesis effect).

guess discipline is not something you can "plan". it's something you have long been taught along the way you grow up, so that you are able to preside over the situation when discipline is needed. without sounding arrogant, i'm a sensible people so, i'm always disciplined. :lol:
i might be a cynic and, a sceptic as well but, i'm definitely not a bad person!!

Dear Luis,
Thank you for your feedback. You think we may not "plan" to be deciplined.
However, decipline is a good personality. Do you know how to "cultivate" this ability?
