Questions for Discussion
Session I

Q1: What are the reasons that make you stay at your job: salary, location, coworkers, company culture, work-life balance, opportunities for growth or promotion, or anything else? What are the reasons that make you quit?

Q2. If you are a recent graduate, would you choose to work at a start-up or a big and established company? If you have worked for several years, would you switch from a big company to a start-up if you have a chance to do so? How does the experience of working at a big company differ from working at a start-up?

Q3: Do you prefer a full-time job or working as a freelancer? Research by the Freelancers Union shows that there are 57 million Americans freelanced in 2019, representing 35% of the U.S. workforce and increasing by 4 million since 2014. What is your opinion of this trend? Do you think it may happen in Taiwan?

Session II
Q4. Have you ever thought about quitting your job for your dream jobs (if the dreams may not pay well)? If so, would you go for it when the opportunity comes or until you are well-prepared? For you, what is a dream job?

Q5. Do you always try to secure the next job before leaving the current one? Have you ever thought about quitting your job and not working for a while to pursuit your dream? Is it important to explain the gap year(s) in your resume when you come back to the workforce?

Q6. If you are an employer, is it a plus or minus for interviewees who have career gaps for traveling, volunteering, language learning, or for working holiday? Would you hire frequent “job-hoppers”? What are your reasons for that?

Q7. What's your definition of adventure? What's the biggest adventure in your life so far? Please share your story with us.
