Not to mention that you can learn even more in a book club of an English club.
In matters of style, swim with the current; in matters of principle, stand like a rock.

If you want to torture yourself with a book you really don't like, joining a book club and reading with others might be the best strategy.

Those who like to torture themselves can find all sorts of ways to do so, such as enrolling in undergraduate and graduate Electrical Engineering programs while working full-time.
Of course, joining, and especially organizing, a book club is definitely one of the most hopelessly naïve thoughts one could ever have.
