We will have an after gathering. This is not connected to the previous event. Feel free to join us!
Location: we will announce it in the line group
Time: start at 7:15 PM

Vocabulary:
Concur – agree
Meditation – Familiar mind with virtue
Merely – just
Mind - That which is clarity and cognizes. Mind is clarity because it always lacks form and because it possesses the actual power to perceive objects. Mind cognizes because its function is to know or perceive objects.
Strategies – plans

Session 1:
  • 1. Have you ever practiced meditation? If so, how long have you meditated, and what were your general feelings during the practice? If you haven’t meditated, what are your thoughts about it? Some individuals perceive meditation as merely sitting and doing nothing. What is your perspective on this?
  • 2. According to Buddhist teachings, the root of all problems lies within our own minds rather than external circumstances. For instance, unexpected behavior from others can lead to disappointment. Should we allow such external events to influence us? Do you agree or disagree? Feel free to share a personal example.
  • 3. Anger is a universal emotion, and certain topics can trigger it. From a Buddhist standpoint, if you haven’t achieved nirvana, then you are an angry person. Are you?
  • 4. Anger arises when we excessively focus on unmet needs and desires. Do you concur with this perspective? Why or why not?
  • Summary Questions: Meditation is about doing nothing – yes or no? Should we let other people control how we feel? Are you an angry person? What materials/expert help is suitable for overcoming anger?
Session 2:
  • Guest speaker-Stephen will share his experience to answer those questions above.
