technobabel 寫:更年期:Menopause
Menopause refers to only women, whereas change of life can refer to both though we often say change of man's ife(男性更年期) when we refer to men.

I believe so. However, I think mid-life crisis has a broader definition.

Change of man's life may also called turn of man's life or male menopause.

The mid-life crisis, originally coined by Jaques (1965) , is often thought to include: worries about the future, inability to enjoy leisure time, a feeling that health is deteriorating, a negative evaluation of the marital relationship, a negative evaluation of work life, and stress arising from taking care of the elderly (Shek, 1996).

Macmillan English Dictionary has a different definition.

factoid:a piece of information that becomes accepted as true because it is repeated very often.

It's interesting as it reminds me of a Chinese idiom "三人成虎".

Factoid, almost always implies that the info is trivial. Which makes it less likely to be circulated or challenged as in the case of 三人成虎.

Based on the definition in the Macmillan dcitionary it does. Meanwhile, it does not say anything about triviality. I stick to the dictionary.

To clarify the usage of "factoid", I looked for further information and found the word had been developed into this newer sense. Thanks for the note, technobabel.

Emotional and thought provoking drama that often found in good movies are known to have such effect.
