"saving for a rainy day" ?
Yes, but the idiom usually goes "save it for a rainy day".
(save多用做及物動詞,因此應有受詞))

這個連結好像是新加坡的網站,果然有”新加坡式英語的味道”.

I don't know.

"Predicament" measn a difficult or unpleasant situation. Maybe we can translate "慮" into worries or concerns.

"In due course", meanin "in the future when it is the right time but not before, is an excellent expression for "遠"!

I don't think "more" is needed here.

Perhaps "urgent" is not the word for "近" whereas "immediate" is a better choice for it.

With all due respect, I'd like to change your (technobabel's) wording into

One must deal with either concerns in due course or immediate worries.
or
One must deal with either concerns in due course or worries the next minute.
