Feb. 9, 2009 半影月食 Penumbral Lunar Eclipse

2月9日為農曆正月十五元宵節，在這「月上柳梢頭，人約黃昏後」佳節的夜裡，將會有「半影月食」的天文現象發生，自晚上20時36.8分開始至翌日（2/10）0時39.6分結束，全程共歷時4個小時2分多鐘，台灣各地所見狀況均同。

半影月食發生時並不會造成月面有缺角的狀況，因為照射月面的陽光僅有部分被地球所遮掩，此時仍有部分陽光直接照射月面，使得所見的一輪明月有一側（靠近本影區）會暗淡一些。半影月食剛開始時因月球距離地球本影較遠，食象非常不明顯；食分較大的半影月食，在食甚前後 因較為接近地球的本影區，所以在這段時間較容易察覺出月面有一側稍為陰暗。本次半影月食因食甚時較為接近地球的本影區，所以在食甚前後較能分辨出月面的東北東側略為陰暗，若能用望遠鏡放大攝影，則更能表現出月面上 的亮度漸層狀況。

Sorry! I don't have lunar eclipse photos to show you this time!
Tonight I didn't even have time to see the lunar eclipse.
I was too busy in preparing my hosting (2/18).
Even during Chinese New Year holidays, I was reading the book and writing the article.
Pity I couldn't finish it tonight! ><

About astronomical photography, do you have telescope and equatorial mount?
I took both astronomy and astronomical observation in 1993.
That's why I had a chance to learn how to use telescope with equatorial mount to take astronomical photos.
But I am not really good at it.
