Factors that determines one's English learning capacity

Everybody learns at their own "chosen" speed, but as we grow older, our capacity to learn just aren't what they used to be. Everybody wants to improve their English, but few are willing to put up with all those tedious and necessary efforts. English materials in all different levels are readily available almost everywhere, it is almost impossible to avoid. But I can see that most Yoyo members are inundated with learning bottle-necks of various shapes and forms. In a time frame of less than 2 hours, I am unable to give any personal attention towards your particular situation. Not to mention that offering advices is a risky proposition. I have thought about offering tutoring service for a small and reasonable fee, but that will only jeopardize my reputation as a non-selfish Yoyo member.
But, than again, Why should my reputation be anybody's No. 1 concern?
