請問下面這段話中的"It isn't much of a place" 是什麼意思?
"I walked over to a pond about a mile and a half from here. It's the one we see from the air as we're coming in. It isn't much a place - nowhere near as big as this lake we're on."

"Much" is a word that conveys the concept of abundance. We all know how a place can be overwhelming, underwhelming or just right. A "Pond" by definition is smaller than a lake. So, the hint is more than obvious. You can say a whole lot about a place without saying much. By the same token, you don't want to say too much and inadvertently limits reader's imagination. That would be counter-productive.

A compliment gone awry...
heck of a job
A complete and total screw-up. From President George W. Bush's infamous comment to FEMA chief Michael D. Brown while the latter was botching the federal response to Hurricane Katrina: "Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job."
Ben Affleck, you're doing a heck of a job on Gigli.
The captain of the Titanic did a heck of a job.
Varus, you're doing a heck of a job with those Legions.
