I know this question is kind of silly, but I have been stuck over it and can't help think over it again and again that I almost lose the sense. So I need your help to straighten it out.
This was a conversation two weeks ago:
Sherry: I am not going to take minutes today.
Toshi: Why not?
Sherry: Because I just don't know ......
A: I just don't know how.
B: I just don't know how to.
C: I just don't know how to take.
D: I just don't know how to take them.
Which one is correct? Or none of them?
Please help me with this silly question

Re: Please help me with this silly question
I vote for A.
And, what do you mean "take minutes"?
And, what do you mean "take minutes"?

I just don't know how to
I just don't know how to take them
Or, you meant
I just don't know how I shall take the minutes.

Re: Please help me with this silly question
If most of them are correct, yes, I am with you!Rock 寫:I vote for A.
Because it's the shortest one. I like it.
Supposedly that's another bug? I mean taking minutes of a meeting.Rock 寫:And, what do you mean "take minutes"?
I used this phrase since I was reading some articles recently like this one:
How to Take Minutes

A: I just don't know how (to take them).
B: I just don't know how to (take them. {Rare}
C: I just don't know how to take. (In correct: an object must be followed by the transitive verb "take".}
D: I just don't know how to take them. {Complete sentence}.
These sentences except C means "Sherry不懂怎麼做會議記錄". However, this is not true, as we have read her minutes for quite a few times. She did a good job.
In fact, I guess Sherry meant to say, "I don't know."
It should not be translated into "我不知道"; instead, it means "我說不上來".

At the meeting, we had a special activity. The speakers had to present their ideas derived from some pictures the host provided. I think I was a bit swamped when I tried making summaries.
