Too & Either

文章 Debbie Chou »

Dear yoyos,

I have a question about the usage between Too & Either.

Example 1:

A:I won’t go to Yoyo this Saturday.
B:I won’t ,either.

Example 2:

A:I have no idea of how to go to Yoyo’s meeting.
B:I have no idea ,either(or too??)

I know that Example 1 is correct. But which word should be used in Example 2??

Thanks!

I think in Example 2, we should also use "either"
To my knowledge, as long as the sentence is negative, then we should use "either"

I am not 100% sure, though

2nd example is a negative thinking. You use either for that. "Too" is a positive way to express.
