明年1月下旬，著名音樂劇歌劇魅影將在國家戲劇院上演，雖然日期看起來還有點遠...不過從現在開放兩廳院之友、台新銀卡友和朋馳卡友9折預購的訂位情況看起來，10月1日全面開放訂位時，說不定真的會發生一票難求的情形呢

margaret去年12月曾經在倫敦看過，雖說音樂劇其實是很商業性質的劇種，比不上歌劇的精緻及細膩，但實際看現場比起看DVD或聽CD還是好上N倍呀~
何況國家戲劇院的設備比起倫敦那些百年歷史的老劇院要好一些...雖然目前看來票價是明顯偏高...但如果真的很喜歡這部音樂劇，一時三刻又沒有機會出國去New York or London的人...還是推薦可以進國家戲劇院去看看喔

觀賞歌舞劇的臨場感是電影或CD所比不上的
Roger我也是數年前在倫敦女王陛下劇院 "Her Majesty's Theatre"看的
開演前獨自一人先在劇場入口的小吧檯小酌
賓客都盛裝赴宴,三五成群地寒暄聊天
只能說,"很上流社會的感覺"

雖說Phantom是個有名到不能再有名的歌舞劇
建議觀賞前最好再把故事拿出來讀讀
能的話,網路上可以download到劇本
也能買到完整版的CD,不只有音樂,加上有對白和音效那種
先花點時間看看,臨場更能欣賞舞台特效

哪些舞台特效?
賣個關子吧! 能力許可就往前坐
畢竟在台灣演出,你已經省下機票錢
拿去投資好一點的座位是值得的!

Besides the catchy tunes that seemed to linger in your head, Phatom's other main selling point is its gothical Phantasmagoria. Why is that style so popular in the 19 century? Wouldn't it be nice to have a gothic style MRT station? Why must every MRT station feels like a germ-free clinic?

Basically, this show is about how not to manage an opera theater. Even non-Harvard Business School MBA knows you can not micro-manage performance artists and other show business talent. Also, nobody should be that obsess with music.

Dear All,

I had seen this musical this June when i was in New York, which is the first time I had in Time square. It costed me $USD 55 (about NTD$1700) with seat at 39 line, the 3 rd floor high. In fact, if you didn't bring the telescope, you can see only the little image they were. Fortunately, I brought it and enjoyed a good show.

If you haven't got the experience, you can try it with save the air ticket for $NT 30,000 to fly to USA or U.K.

說起來, 我看這齣musical竟是十二年前的事ㄌ, 可見歲月真ㄉ不饒人啦

我也是在Broadway看的, 由於之前就已對故事內容及音樂很熟悉, 所以看的時候

很快就進入狀況ㄌ; 但是我當時去看另一齣Les Miserable(悲慘世界), 因為之前

對故事不太了解, 所以看ㄉ時候有時會不太懂內容, 是比較可惜ㄉ地方, 所以就像

Roger說ㄉ, 最好先瞭解故事內容(也可早點去買節目單先看完),然後像Alisha說

ㄉ一定要帶telescope~~~

well, The phantom of the Opera的特色除ㄌ故事動人, 音樂比較容易馬上被吸

引接受外,舞台特效的炫麗是很重要的部分.

不過對於國家戲劇院的場地, 是否能和Broadway一樣有那麼豐富的舞台效果,

我是不太清楚, 我之前曾在那邊演出過很多次, 也當過幾次後台工作人員, 我覺得

以現在的角度來說, 設備還是不太足ㄉ.....

anyway, 這絕對是一生中絕不能錯過的經典之作嘍, 多看兩次也是值得的!!

speaking of 舞台效果...
Here is the rule of thumb.
If you don't see a humongous crystal chandelier in the beginning of the show that hovers like an UFO that is about to crash. That is a good hint that you should demand a full refund of the ticket price.
