Can anyone explain the meaning of "a weekend of" for me?

raid: a surprise visit by the police looking for criminals or for illegal goods or drugs:
Ex.: The drugs were found during a police raid on the house.
Ex.: They were arrested during a dawn raid.
foil: to stop sth from happening, especially sth illegal; to prevent sb from doing sth
Ex.: Customs officials foiled an attempt to smuggle priceless paintings out of the country.
Ex.: A massive arms-smuggling plan has been foiled by the CIA.
aspirational: wanting very much to achieve success in your career or to improve your social status and standard of living
Ex.: advertising aimed at the aspirational classes
Ex.: Trendy trainers and designer labels have become aspirational status symbols, especially among the young.
Compared to "operational": working and ready to be used. If a system is operational, it is working:
Ex.: The boat should be operational by this afternoon.
Ex.: Repairs have already begun and we expect the factory to be fully operational again with six months.

Police have another seven days to question eleven men arrested in raids Wednesday in northwestern England; ten are Pakistani nationals in the UK on student visas. Under terrorism laws suspects can be hold for 28 days without charge. Prime Minister Gordon Brown says police foiled a very big terrorist plot, other than that there's been little confirmed though much reported then the British media has coming from so-called "sources". There are reports police found photos of the suspects outside shopping centers and a night club, suggesting these were potential targets. Another says that maybe a bomb factory police haven't yet located. The BBC reports the alleged plot was aspirational, not operational. Much of the debate has now shifted to whether a border security has been controlled.

Re: ISG 0419 NPR Hourly Newscast on Apr/11 & Apr/12
With regard to the phrase "a week of", after looking up several dictionaries and googling the internet, I still could not find a satisfactory explanation, so I turned to my colleagues for help.
The following are what I got:
In this case, "a week (of)" is literally a "week", i.e. seven days. Therefore, the meaning of "a week of protests" is "protests which last for seven days".
The same. "a weekend of right-wing attacks" means "right-wing attacks which last for a weekend".
a week of weeks: It means a really good week. Similar examples are "a book of books (which means a really good book)", "an ice cream of ice creams (which means a really good ice cream)", and so forth.
a week of Sundays: "a week" here means "seven times". So "a week of Sundays" means "seven Sundays". Another example is "a year of Sundays", which means "365 times of Sundays", and It implies a very long time. (An example: I have not been there for a year of Sundays.)
a week of years: Neither of them had even heard of this expression.
The following is for your reference:
I printed out the whole paragraph Kooper transcribed, in order for my colleagues to understand the context of the sentence in question. One of them was curious about this article, so I told him that this was a transcript of news from broadcast. He believed that the transcript made no mistakes except the word underlined. He thought it should have been "streamed", though he had not listened to the broadcast.
