BR2018: Book Reading 2018 Planning

文章 Iris Wu »

As requested by Rock, I am coming up with a 2018 book reading plan for your reference:

- Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari (2014): 2/11/18 – 5/19/18
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/236 ... earch=true

- The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah (2015): 6/12/18 – 8/4/18
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/218 ... earch=true

- Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty (2014): 8/11/18 – 10/13/18
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/194 ... earch=true

- To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee (1960): 10/20/18 – 12/31/18
https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/265 ... earch=true

Book selection is very subjective. I am sure they are not perfect choices for everyone. If you are interested to read along with us, we can share the thoughts at some check points.

Notes:
- “Sapiens”: I really like the author. Though it may sound like a boring history textbook, it is very different.
- “The Nightingale”: Many thanks to Janice for her book recommendation.
- “Big Little Lies”: Because I’ve read “The Husband’s Secret”, “Big Little Lies” was published by the same author and it has even better review and rating.
- “To Kill a Mockingbird”: Just thought to read a classic one.
Thanks to Catherine, Vicky/Rock, we will add two more books to the possible reading list:
- Justice (by Michael Sandel) and
- Fire and Fury (by Michael Wolff)
Just like Sapiens, they are excellent non-fiction books to read.
