Another explosion has occurred at the nuclear power plant in the Fukishima complex in northeastern Japan. The blast …………No. 3 unit like the one on Saturday at No. 1 unit was in …………building, not in the nuclear reactor itself, and happened because of hydrogen buildup. …………………… Japan about 30 miles from nuclear plant complex. She says there appears no radiation has leaked into the environment. “The Japanese Chief Cabinet Secretary XXX says the explosion at the nuclear facility in the Fukishima prefecture and he thinks that the amount of radioactivity may have been minimal. At this point we don’t know what the damage is we know that there is confirmation of second explosion.

xxx reported in Koriyama Japan. Japanese officials had been warning of a possible second explosion at the site that they raced to prevent another reactor meltdown. xxx put the program director at the xxx has found, and the former department of energy employee describes the problem engineers are facing at the Japanese plants: we all know what happens when a radiator hose blows. if you keep driving that car your engine's tossed, similar with a nuclear reactor. if that cooling water around those fuel rods leaks out, and some of the fuel rods expose to the air, they are extremely hot. they very quickly, not minutes, but within hours, they melt.
prime minister xxx says this is Japan's most severe crisis since the war ended sixty-five years ago. ships were flipped over in a road that half mile inland. officials said local athorities on the coast are running out of body bags and coffins. Japan's top government spokesman says Tokyo electric power's postponing plans to impose ruling blackout but it's calling in everyone to limit electricity use. xxx says if necessary the utility will go ahead with the power rationing in eight prefectures and cities.
it's looking more likely democrats and republicans will reach an agreement and another short term budget resolution that would avoid government shut down later next month. npr xxx reports, the current budget calls for about six-billion dollars in cuts but speaking on fox news Sunday, senator minority leader xxx made it clear republicans want almost ten times that. cutting spending and job creatino are not mutually xxx in fact we believe reducing..
i might be a cynic and, a sceptic as well but, i'm definitely not a bad person!!

Officials are now saying that after a series of explosion and fire at a nuclear power plant in Japan they may ask the US and Japanese militaries for help. As officials struggle to deal with the fires at a storage pond, it has already sent some radioactivity into the atmosphere. NPR’s xxx in Tokyo, 170 miles from the stricken plant, has more in the fire. “The fire is taking place in a cooling pool, cooling pond to help reduce the heat that is coming out of the spent nuclear fuel. And for the second day in a row the utility is reporting that there is a fire in this area. It’s burning right now and they don’t have a lot of other information about it.” The Japanese government has set up a 24 mile no flight zone around the plant damaged by last week’s strong earthquake and tsunami. Official death toll in the wake of the quake is currently 2300 but is expected to go much higher.

containment building: A containment building, in its most common usage, is a steel or reinforced concrete structure enclosing a nuclear reactor. It is designed, in any emergency, to contain the escape of radiation to a maximum pressure in the range of 60 to 200 psi[citation needed] ( 410 to 1400 kPa). The containment is the final barrier to radioactive release (part of a nuclear reactor's defence in depth strategy), the first being the fuel ceramic itself, the second being the metal fuel cladding tubes, the third being the reactor vessel and coolant system. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Containment_building)

radiator hose: Photos convey everything. Here are photos of radiator hoses: http://www.google.com.tw/search?q=radia ... 80&bih=604

What happens when a radiator hose blows? Here are two photos of it: (1)http://www.google.com.tw/imgres?imgurl= ... h:1&itbs=1 , (2)http://www.google.com.tw/imgres?imgurl= ... 29,r:1,s:0

An answer to the question from the Answer.com: AS in any vehicle, if the radiator hose "blows" or simply comes off, the superheated coolant will escape and you will see what looks like smoke but is actually vapor coming out from under the hood. If it's a small tear in the hose, you might only notice it when the car is stopped. If you think you're in danger of this happening to you, it's best to replace the hose before something happens as they are relatively inexpensive. Your car will overheat if you try to drive it without the hose or any of the cooling system parts in proper working order and much more serious damage can occur. Remember to glance at your vehicles temperature gauge from time to time and have the car looked at by a mechanic if you notice anything out of the ordinary.

What happens when an engine toasts? From what I googled on the Internet, it seems to be 縮缸 in Chinese (http://www.wretch.cc/blog/fbi5209982/730173)
