Questions for Discussion Session One: 1. What is your favorite sweet food or beverages, which stores serve them, and why do you like it? 2. Do you consider yourself a person with a sweet tooth? How often do you take sugary foods or drinks? Do you have the habit of taking something sweet regularly or in any particular circumstances? Do you think you have become addicted to sugar? 3. According to the video clip, can sugar be addictive and make us crave more? How is it different from other addictive substances such as heroin, nicotine? 4. Do you think sugar-sweetened soda should be taxed, banded from advertising, or add warning labels to packages like tobacco because they pose growing risks to human health?
Session Two: 5. As you grew older, did you become less or more resistant to the allure of sugar? Does your childhood memory include any memorable, tasty and sweet foods? 6. Did you try to cut down on sugar and what was your approach? Did you feel healthier or lose weight because of this? In your experiences, what is the most effective way to reduce sugar intake? 7. How much do you know about the WAR ON SUGAR? How have food and soft drink giants reacted to the movement? In your opinion, is it going to produce promising results and improve public health or the other way around? 8. Sugar exists everywhere. There must be a biological reason why it’s prevalent in human’s diet and why men don’t get bored with it easily and continue feel rewarding with it. What’s your possible explanation for this?
