4/7(Sat) Define fears instead of goals (Host David Jr.)

Dear friends,

Sorry for posting the topic late.
This Saturday afternoon we are going to discuss about "fear" in session 1 and another compelling video in session 2.
Please prepare your own "Question sheet" because no hard copy will be provided.

Session 1 TED talk:
Why you should define your fears instead of your goals?

Session 2 TED talk:
How to stop screwing yourself over

Session 1 Questions:
1. Have you heard of "Stoicism?" Does this make sense to you?
How about the seemingly contradictory theory "Positive Psychology?"
Which one make more sense to you? In what way?
For those who like to learn more about "Stoicism", the following video is very helpful.

2. What do you think about the quote "We suffer more often in imagination than in reality - Seneca?"
Do you agree? Share your experience with us.

3. What do you think about the quote as follows,
"Easy choices, hard life.
Hard choices, easy life.
Jerzy Gregorek"
Do you agree? Could you give some examples?

4. Defining your fears vs. Defining your goals.
What do you think should be the priority?

Session 2 Questions:
5. How often do you say "I am fine?"
What do you usually feel when you say "I am fine?"
Are you satisfied or dissatisfied with your lives now?

6. This speaker claims getting what you want is simple, but not easy.
All you need to do is to FORCE yourself
(1) Out of your head
(2) Past your feelings
(3) Outside your comfort zone.
What do you think about this statement? Is this logical to you?
How difficult is it to apply it?

7. As for 5 second rule, do you agree? What's your experience about it?

Thanks for David choosing this inspirational and motivational topic even though it's a little bit late posting, but it's really a thought-provoking idea to define your fear firstly and put your goal into action when some impulse come to you.
