12/8 Tue. Growth Mindset V.S. Fixed Mindset (Host: Gavin)

Hi, YOYO friends:

Recently I watched a very inspiring video; please watch this on YouTube firstly: When people are young, they like to try everything for fun; results aren’t important.
When people become elder, most of them gradually change to the opposite.
Probably there’s no absolutely good or bad way.
However, in the video, growth mindset does appear to be more promising.
Let’s share your experiences in actual life with regard to these two types of mindset.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Session 1: school experiences or learning experiences
a. Please share your opinions on your classmates of both growth mindset and fixed mindset. Are they now still the same or changed?
b. Generally, among your friends, more people had growth mindset or fixed mindset? Were they performing differently?
c. Does the video inspire you to try anything you haven’t experienced before?

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Session 2: work experiences
d. The adults’ world is cruel. Talk about your colleagues’ real experiences for growth mindset and fixed mindset.
e. What are the actual pros and cons of growth mindset?
What are the actual pros and cons of fixed mindset?
f. In principle, we still encourage people to have growth mindset. In your working environments, would you try to change any attitude to have a better mindset?
