What are NFTs(digital art works)? Is it worthy to buy?

1.What are NFT? From new York times
https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/202 ... guide.html
(the link has some problem, please see attachment

2.The 20 most expensive NFTs
https://nftnow.com/features/most-expensive-nft-sales/

Picture A is the most expensive NFT, named "the first 5000 days", please see the link of the article.

Recently, NFT is a hot topic recently. NFT stands for Non-fungible tokens(非同質代幣), which are unique cryptographic tokens. Physical money is fungible. It can be exchanged at parity. As their name indicates, non-fungible tokens cannot be exchanged at parity with each other. Instead, they are used for unique artifacts with unequal valuations. More and more people concern or want to buy NFTs. Let's talk about it.

Section 1:

1. If you have the right to choose to buy real paintings or NFT digital art works, which one will you buy? Why ?
2. Do you like or dislike NFT digital art works? What are the reasons that you like or dislike?
3. If you have the opportunities to invest NFT art works, will you invest(such as picture A)? If yes, what kind of
NFT will you try to invest(you could try to choose from top 20 NFTs )? The most expensive NFT works is worthy
of US$ 69.3 million. Do you think NFT is worthy of such a high price, and why or why not?
4. Here arises some copyright issue. The article mentions that 昆汀·塔倫蒂諾(Quentin Tarantino) was filed a
lawsuit with miramax company, because he used NFT from the movie(黑色追緝令pulp fiction) to sell. They
got reconciliation finally. There are also some similar lawsuit cases, such as Nike and Stock X. Do you think
who owns the copyright of NFT? The NFT creator or the original company? Will such lawsuit become more and
more?

Section 2:

1. Hackers recently stole $1.7 million worth of NFTs from users of OpenSea. (the largest NFT trading platform)
Even Jay Chou(周杰倫)’s NFT was stolen previously. Why did these thieves steal these NFTs? If you have the
skills to steal NFTs and it will not violate the laws, will you steal it to sell?
2. The creation way of bitcoins is similar to that of NFTs. If you have chances to invest bitcoins or NFTs, which
one will you choose? Why?
3. The article mentioned that the estimated size of the NFT market is around $40 billion. Meanwhile, Gary
Vaynerchuk, the online marketer and a NFT mogul himself, recently predicted that 98 percent of NFTs would
lose money. What kind of future will NFT be? To grow up or to decline?
4. Bitcoin is just bitcoin and it does not matter what bitcoin you own. But NFT is different from other NFTs. Do
you think the future of NFT is more prosper, if it compared with Bitcoin? Or Vice versa? Or They both is going
to grow soon in the near future?

Even though NFT market has collapsed and is even considered “dead” in some’s eyes, I hold the view that NFT will get back on its feet sometime down the line and prosper again. Its revival probably won’t result from the trading of digital artwork like the Bored Ape, but from applications like customer royalty programs.

A recent example is that Starbucks, the giant coffee chain, is planning to launch its NFT-based customer rewards program around end of the year. In this program, NFT collections can be earned by taking part in various activities. They can also be purchased using a credit card. Customers who opt in to the program don’t need to own a crypto wallet beforehand. The goal of the program, according to Starbucks, is to provide the NFT owners one-of-a-kind rewards or experiences without knowledge of the technology underpinned the program.

An NFT-based membership program trumps a traditional one with better security. It also opens up a sea of new possibilities for value transfer. NFT’s openness and compatibility makes it a lot easier for different brands to hold joint activities for members as long as both programs are based on blockchain technology.
