Quiet quitting / How to buy happiness

Dear all,
Let's talk about Quiet Quitting and happiness!

Session One:

As the world of work has experienced a drastic change since the pandemic, the change in workplace culture has resulted in a mindset that is currently dominating social media: "quiet quitting"

Despite the name, it actually has nothing to do with quitting your job.
It means doing only what your job demands and nothing more. Quitting doing anything extra. You still show up for work, but stay strictly within the boundaries of your job requirements. So no more helping out with additional tasks or checking emails outside of working hours.

Is quiet quitting a real trend or just a fresh vocabulary to describe their feelings? Let's talk about it.

1. What Is quiet quitting? How do you see this phenomenon?
Do you think it is a new phenomenon or simply a trendy new name for worker dissatisfaction?

2. "Quiet quitting" is not resignation, and people still complete the work, but work is no longer equal to life, and you are more focused on taking care of yourself and your life outside of work.
Do you have this mentality? Do you think it will have the "butterfly effect"?

3. Do you think quiet quitting is allowed in the workplace in Taiwan? If you are a company owner, how do you deal with this phenomenon? Would you respond with "quiet firing"?

Session Two:

How to buy happiness

1. According to a CNN article on what happens to people when they win the lottery, it turns out people get ruined. They have more debt and worse friendships than before they won the lottery.
What would you do if you won the lottery?

2. Do you believe money can buy happiness?
As the speaker mentioned, if you think money can't buy happiness, you're not spending it right. Do you agree with him?

3. It's the way to make yourself happier.
We may not be able to give away huge sums of money like Bill Gates or Warren Buffett to help others. we can still do something for others. If you were given NT$100,000 to do something for others right now, how would you spend it?

4. What are your financial goals in 2023? How about spending wisely to bring happiness to others?

My dad demanded my to be the government staff cause the job's type is "quite quitting" .
Many year latter, some of my friends are government staffs, they are not only professional but also diligent
