Session One
Activity: Sibling guess. Please guess how many brothers and sisters your discussion partners have. Why do you guess so? After that, tell people the answer to see who made the guess right.

Questions (Please do question 1 and 2 together)
1. Do you have sisters? Tell us your experience with your sisters when you were a teenager and now as an adult. Follow the order below.

1.2 What are the good things?
1.3 To conclude, are there more good things or bad things?
If you don't have a sister, go to question 2.
2. You don't have a sister, but do you have an experience with someone who was like a sister to you? Tell us about the experience. Is it like a real sister experience?
3. Do you prefer a sister or a brother? What's the difference between having a sisiter and a brother? What are the things that brothers can do but sisters can't, and vice versa.

Session Two
4. Is it true that sometimes siblings are more important than parents? Why? What are some of the things that brothers or sisters can do for the family?
5. Please talk about the above 12 points of the benefits of having sisters. Which ones matter to you more and which ones less?
6. There are less kids in a family in Taiwan now than before. Is it a good thing or a bad thing for the kids? Do you think those kids will grow up to be unhappy adults because they don't have sisters? What can they do about it?

Important Notes:
1. We advise participants to print out the discussion questions and bring them to the meeting for reference. As for the supporting articles, feel free to print them out, as well, according to your preference.
2. We suggest that participants read the articles and think about the questions in advance.
3. Newcomers should prepare a two-to-three minute self-introduction in English to deliver when called upon by the host before the start of the discussion. The host may also ask you to give brief feedback about the meeting at the conclusion of the meeting.
4. We conduct the entire meeting in English. All participants should have at least moderate English-conversation skills and be able to articulate your ideas for each discussion question.
5. We welcome newcomers and other guests to attend the meetings and join the discussion freely for two times. After that, we hope you will consider becoming a YoYo English Club member. We charge a NT$1500 lifetime membership fee, or NT$1000 for students.
