It's Alice Chou here, and I'm thrilled to announce that I have recently resumed the YoYo English Club. It brings back fond memories of our time together and the friendships we shared. I can't wait to catch up with all of you!

As we reunite, I wanted to share a topic that has been on my mind lately—Contactless Service. I believe all of us have tried QR code ordering system in restaurants. It's fascinating how this self-serve and contactless service has become ubiquitous, especially in light of the pandemic. Remembering the times before COVID-19, I wonder if any of us had ever envisioned such a technological advancement will happen in our life.

Questions
Session One
1. You must have experienced contactless service, are you satisfied with the quality? Is it impersonal? Can it totally offset the risk of transmitting COVID-19?
2. What kind of job could be displaced by automation? Which jobs aren’t likely to replace?
3. What’s your in-store shopping behavior? Do you enjoy communicate with sales person or prefer social distancing? Which one makes you more comfortable?

Session Two
4. Does the food taste different between food delivery and dine in? is the portion same? What kind of meal you will never make takeout order? What are pros and cons of food delivery?
5. Chinese technology giant Baidu unveiled the next vehicle” Apollo RT6” to join its self-driving taxi service. Are you anxious about self-driving cars when human drives are responsible for so many deaths? How can we build trust in these vehicles?
6. Do you use contactless payment service? Is this technology as secure as traditional cards? Which platform you recommend most? Why?

Important Notes:
1. We advise participants to print out the discussion questions and bring them to the meeting for reference. As for the supporting articles, feel free to print them out, as well, according to your preference.
2. We suggest that participants read the articles and think about the questions in advance.
3. Newcomers should prepare a two-to-three minute self-introduction in English to deliver when called upon by the host before the start of the discussion. The host may also ask you to give brief feedback about the meeting at the conclusion of the meeting.
4. We conduct the entire meeting in English. All participants should have at least moderate English-conversation skills and be able to articulate your ideas for each discussion question.
5. We welcome newcomers and other guests to attend the meetings and join the discussion freely for two times. After that, we hope you will consider becoming a YoYo English Club member. We charge a NT$1500 lifetime membership fee, or NT$1000 for students.
