Hi yoyoers,

When life gives you lemons… Good! Let’s make a refreshing glass of lemonade! :D
Many people, when they hear the term "shifting the mindset," might interpret it as "letting go" or "just seeing things more openly."

Sometimes we may be stuck in a situation, the secret to making life better lies in a change of perspective. What’s your “Shift Your Perspective” moment?

Material:
Change your mindset, change the game | Dr. Alia Crum | TEDxTraverseCity
https://youtu.be/0tqq66zwa7g

Session 1
1. When life gives you lemons, what strategies or habits help you turn them into lemonade? How do you maintain a positive mindset during difficult times, without ignoring the reality of the situation?
2. Can you recall a time when shifting your mindset helped you solve a problem you had been stuck on?
3. Who or what inspires you to stay optimistic, even when facing challenges?
4. If you could give advice to your younger self on how to handle life’s challenges, what would it be?
5. How do you define a “Life’s Good” moment?

Session 2
6. Looking back on your life, is there a moment when you wish you had changed your perspective? What would have been different?
7. If changing perspectives is so important, why do you think people rarely make the effort to do so?
8. How do we assist others to see their limitations of mindset?
9. What role does empathy play in shifting your mindset towards understanding your partner's or family member's perspective?
10. When family dynamics change (e.g., children grow up, parents age), how can adjusting your mindset help you navigate those transitions more smoothly?
11. If a group of people that cannot change their mindset work in a firm, is it good or bad for the firm to grow? Why?

instead of changing mindset and perspective, the topic is talking about the power of the placebo effect i would say, but the point is it has to be created by you, yourself. 8)
i might be a cynic and, a sceptic as well but, i'm definitely not a bad person!!

The placebo effect is defined as the brain convincing the body that a fake treatment becomes real, resulting in tangible benefits. I don’t deny that changing one’s mindset or perspective makes a significant difference—much like the placebo or nocebo effect in pharmacology.

I would say that religious teachings, such as Buddhist concepts of Karma and letting go or Christian prayer, are great placebos for our well-being, too. In both medical and religious cases, faith and action—“change mindset”—bring the result.
