4/19 (Sat.) Child Abuse and Caregiver Responsibility: Reflections from the Kai-Kai Incident (Host: Jerry Wang)

文章 jerryozoz »

The low birth rate is a critical issue for Taiwan. But have we truly done enough to create a supportive environment for raising children? The Kai-Kai incident happened about a year and a half ago, and many people still can’t understand how something like that could happen in Taiwan. Today, we’re discussing this important topic.

Session 1
1. Why do you think some caregivers or babysitters become abusive?
2. Should there be public cameras in private babysitting environments? Why or why not?
3. How can we teach children to protect themselves or speak up if they are mistreated?

Session 2
4. Do you think having children is the responsibility of individual families, or should the government and the public also provide support?
5. If possible, share perspectives from different countries or cultures on how they treat children.
