The best selling piano album ever--- is from huge errors

The Köln Concert of Keith Jarrett is the best selling album of piano in history. However, it wouldn't be there without these problems:

1. a 17-year-old concert organizer
2. a wrong piano which was in a poor condition
3. a very tired pianist with serious backache
4. a sleepy time of performance at 23:30

Amazingly, by overcoming these disadvantages, Jarrett made the greatest performance in his career. By the way, the music was totally improvised.

The claim that this is the best selling piano album in history is probably not borne out by the facts. I don't quite subscribe to the idea that Keith Jarrett could surpass Richard Clayderman, the widely-favored pianist, in sales figures. So I googled and found that Richard's first single, Ballade pour Adeline, sells 22 million copies abroad!

For years he resisted such requests since, as he said, the music played was improvised "on a certain night and should go as quickly as it comes."[9] In 1990, Jarrett finally agreed on publishing an authorized transcription but with the recommendation that every pianist intending to play the piece should use the recording itself as the final word. A new interpretation of The Köln Concert was published in 2006 by Polish pianist Tomasz Trzcinski on his album Blue Mountains.
